April 6, 2016 – Miami, Florida – Noel & Cecibon Productions is proud to be hosting the 18th Haitian Compas Festival at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami on Saturday, May 21, 2016. After almost two decades the Haitian Compas Festival has become an annual tradition that brings pride to the Haitian community in South Florida, with swarms of people coming from all over the world to celebrate Haitian Flag day.
“18 years in the music business is a huge accomplishment and we have remained one of the top festivals in the world, it is amazing looking back to day one until now – the Haitian Compas Festival is definitely one of the biggest events in Miami in May,” says Rodney Noel, CEO of Noel & Cecibon Productions.
Celebrating how far the Haitian Compas Festival has come, there are three major additions to the line-up, Haiti’s former President, Michel J. Martelly putting aside politics to lure the crowd back to his musical roots with a jaw dropping performance, We The Best Music’s First Lady Steph Lecor with her hit “Saturday” and International EDM Dj/Producer Michael Brun performing his epic hit “Wherever I Go.”
The stage will be on fire with some of Haiti’s most predominantly successful acts including Djakout #1, Klass, Nu Look, T-Vice, CaRiMi, Kreyol La, Disip,
K-Zino and Harmonik. Embracing the power of Rap Kreyol will be Fantom, Roody Roodboy, Baky, TPO, PJay, Wendy King Traka, Blood Camp and DJ’s like Tony Mix, DJ Griot, Nicky Mix, Franky Mix, DJ Gousse, Valmix, and PowerMixx.
As a weekend long event the Haitian Compas Festival kicks off on Thursday, May 19th at Moca Café with Carimi & Harmonik at the “Welcome to Miami” party, it continues on Friday, May 20th at Club Space with the “Black Affair” with Klass, Nu Look, Carimi & T-Vice and the “Friday Takeover” with Djakout #1 & Kreyol La the same night. Saturday the festival is at Bayfront Park and the “Saturday Night Live” after party continues at Moca Café with Nu Look, then Sunday its “Sunday Social” at Club Boca with Klass & 509 and “Sunday Night Fever” at Café Iguana Pembroke Pines with Nu Look, Djakout #1 & Harmonik. “Melo Monday” closes out the weekend on Monday, May 23rd at Moca Café with Klass.
