FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
19 years and it just keeps on getting bigger and better
The Haitian Compas Festival is a Two-Day Affair!
December 5, 2016 – Miami, Florida – Noel & Cecibon Productions has earned the title of pioneer and innovator because all of their main events have always taken center stage. The Haitian Compas Festival is one such event that keeps Noel & Cecibon Productions working throughout the year to become bigger and better. 2017 will prove to be one of their largest endeavors as Rodney Noel and Jean Michel Cerenord take on the challenge of producing the Haitian Compas Festival as a two-day event. On Saturday, May 20, 2017 and Sunday, May 21, 2017 Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami will be transformed into a Haitian Music Mecca.
“After almost two decades, we wanted to give people something larger than life to look forward to and we thought – ‘Why not make the festival a two-day event?’ We would love to fit more bands into our show and by making it a Saturday and Sunday presentation it allows us to bring some of the top acts in Haitian Music to Miami. We are excited to try something new,” says Rodney Noel, Co-Founder of Noel & Cecibon Productions.
Thousands of tourists and festival goers flock the South Florida area for the Haitian Compas Festival and throughout the years it has become not only a staple in the Haitian community as “The Place to Be” in May, but it has also become an almost weeklong event. From kick-off parties to post-parties, the Haitian Compas Festival encompasses everything Haitian during the historic celebration of Haitian Cultural Heritage Month.
As a two-day event this festival will showcase the talents of many and will highlight several different genres of Haitian music, including Rap Kreyol, Gospel, Hip Hop, Nouvel Generasyon, Konpa Direk and much more. Younger bands like Djakout #1, Klass, Nu Look, T-Vice, Kai, Kreyol La, Disip, 509, and Harmonik will share the stage with gospel groups Born 2 Serve and Revelation Mizik, while musical pioneers like Tropicana, Ram, and Tabou Combo will inspire solo artists TPO, Ada, Backy, Steph Lecor, Rutshelle, Izolan, Big Fa, Nadia Faubert and Darline Desca. DJs Tony Mixx, the Untouchable DJs, Deejay FMA, Nicky Mix and DJ Queen will provide only the best in music as Bayfront Park serves up only the best in Haitian music.
